The teaching of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu an Indian mystic who lived 1500 years ago has a surprising look at this topic. He said that by practicing humility, tolerance, serving the downtrodden and singing the name of God one can increase mental stamina. Dada Vedaprajinananda (Dada Veda) looks at this topic based on a discourse of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti (“The Source of Internal Stamina” in Ananda Vananamrtam, Part 9).
